The decoration of British Telecom street side junction boxes is part of an initiative by Southwark Council in the Borough and Bankside areas. Funding from Borough & Bankside Community Council's "Cleaner Greener Safer" scheme is being used to make these boxes more attractive and to try and deter graffiti and fly posters.
The picture, on the utility box is of the children's pay area that lies within Little Dorrit Park that is entered from Little Dorrit Court a few steps to the north of the box.
