Katy is a city in the U.S. state of Texas, within Houston–The Woodlands–Sugar Land metropolitan area. The city is located in Harris, Fort Bend, and Waller counties. The population was 14,102 at the 2010 census. City-Data estimates the population in 2012 at 14,661.

The city is dotted with water towers, this being one of them. It is a rather simple 5-legged structure with the word "Katy" painted on its dome. The tower can best be spotted when driving on US Hwy 90 from Katy to Brookshire.
