This location is involved in research and monitoring of the environmental area, providing education, outreach and coastal training programs. The reserve is also involved in the management of river delta and coastal resources.
The reserve is involved in water quality monitoring, impact of trawling on the ecosystem, Monitoring listed species such as sea turtles, shore birds, oysters, seagrass, etc.
An educational place to spend a day and learn about the ecosystem of Florida Bay.
