This marble memorial plaque, to Admiral of the Fleet Richard James Meade 4th Earl of Clanwilliam, is located in the entrance vestibule of the St Peter and St Paul Chapel in the Old Royal Naval College (ORNC) in Greenwich.

The St Peter and St Paul chapel is open to the public from 10am to 5pm Monday to Saturday and 12.30pm to 5pm on Sunday.

The memorial shows a relief profile of the Admiral and has, beneath it, the inscription:

A distinguished Naval Officer and a
great benefactor of the Royal Naval School.

This tablet is erected by members of the
Corporation, Council, Staff, Boys past and
present, and others interested. In grateful
remembrance of his many services to the school,
on the Council of which he served for 22 years,
and is placed in the Chapel which he was
so largely instrumental in providing.

Wikipedia tells us about the Admiral:

Admiral of the Fleet Richard James Meade, 4th Earl of Clanwilliam, GCB, KCMG (3 October 1832 – 4 August 1907), styled Lord Gillford until 1879, was a Royal Navy officer. As a junior officer, he served at the Battle of Escape Creek and at the Battle of Fatshan Creek during the campaign against Chinese pirates. He also took part in the Battle of Canton, where he was severely wounded, during the Second Opium War.

As a senior officer Meade went on to be commander of the Steamship reserve at Portsmouth, commander of the Flying Squadron and Commander-in-Chief, North America and West Indies Station. His last appointment was as Commander-in-Chief, Portsmouth.
