While visiting the little village of Naples, we stopped by the fire hall and were lucky in that we found the fire chief to be at the hall. He graciously invited us in for a photo op, an invitation which we immediately accepted.

At the time only two of the vehicles assigned to this station, Station No. 1, one of three in the South Boundary Fire Protection District, happened to be at home. The other was the blue and white Ferrera pumper, their pride and joy.
This truck is a pumper tender. It's a big ole Louisville 9000 tandem with a capacity of about 3,000 gallons. You'll notice that the number on the side is 672 yet they list it as #671. Apparently 672 is an ex army tandem assigned to another hall, and when we visited that hall, that truck wore number 673.
