Can't miss this Legion Post -- it has a Viquesney Doughboy statue and a piece of artillery in front.

The Doughboy statue was placed on the US National Register of Historic Places I 1991.

A bronze plaque on the base of the statue reads as follows:

"DEDICATED TO THE MEMORY
OF OUR COMRADES
WHO ENTERED THE SERVICE
OF THEIR COUNTRY
FROM FORT SMITH, ARKANSAS
AND GAVE THEIR LIVES
IN THE WORLD WAR

THE AMERICAN LEGION."
