1891 the business man Heinrich Linden built this house. He already was the owner of a tavern and a shop which were located on the other side of the street.
He let this building to the Reichspost which was founded 1871.
The architect was H. Walter from Wanne-Eickel. He used bricks to decorate the facade in the style they call "Backsteingotik".
German Post used this post office until October 1993.
