Garden Grove Cemetery is located northeast of Shawnee. From Highway 18 on the far northeast side of Shawnee, travel eight miles east on EW-109 (Moccassin Trail Road), then one mile south on County Road 3500. The cemetery is located on the northwest corner of CR3500 and Wolverine Road. Because of the flow of Wewoka Creek, many of the nearby roads do not go through.
The cemetery is affiliated with the Garden Grove Missionary Baptist Church which is located across Wolverine Road from the cemetery. The cemetery is well maintained, is flat with just a few large trees. It contains 707 burials. A gravel drive goes north from the main entrance approximately halfway across the cemetery, then goes west and circles back to a secondary exit.
