I recovered this California Department of Transportation metal cap from 2004 in good condition. This cap does not exist in the Geocaching.com database.

THE STATION IS LOCATED ADJACENT TO HIGHWAY 161 IN SISKIYOU COUNTY AT
POSTMILE 1.14 ABOUT 5 KM NORTHEAST OF DORRIS, 33 KM WEST NORTHWEST OF
TULELAKE, AND 26 KM SOUTHWEST OF KLAMATH FALLS OREGON. TO REACH THE
STATION FROM THE INTERSECTION OF HIGHWAY 97 AND 161 NORTH OF DORRIS
'GO EAST ON HIGHWAY 161 1.83KM TO THE STATION ON THE LEFT. THE
STATION IS A SURVEY DISK ENCASED IN PVC PIPE WITH ACCESS COVER SET IN
CONCRETE FLUSH WITH THE GROUND 0.7 M SOUTH OF AN ORANGE CARSONITE
WITNESS POST, 1.1 M EAST OF A WHITE CARSONITE POST WITH AMBER
RELFECTOR, 0.6 M SOUTH OF THE NORTH RIGHT OF WAY FENCE, 30 M NORTH OF
THE YELLOW STRIPE OF HIGHWAY 161, 41 M EAST OF A DEADMAN POLE, AND 47
M WEST OF A FENCE CORNER.

THIS STATION WAS OCCUPIED AS A PART OF THE CALTRANS NORTH REGION
HEIGHT MODERNIZATION PROJECT.
