Shower of Affection
Between June 16, 2004 and March 14, 2014 over 2,700 flights carrying U.S. Military on rest and recuperation leave (R&R) were welcomed back to the U.S. soil at DFW Airport. In honor of the troops, the water cannons of the Airport’s ARFF trucks created a symbolic arch over the arriving aircraft as an expression of gratitude.
