Completed in 1935, the Polson City Hall was a WPA project. It was followed in 1936 by construction of a new jail and fire house adjacent to the city hall, also by the WPA. The fire house adjoins city hall on its north side, set well back from First Street. They a are all on the west side of First Street East, just north of Second Avenue, which is Highway 93. First Street is two blocks east of the bridge over the Flathead River carrying Highway 93 into Polson from the west.
