They are open daily, from 11 AM to 9 PM, but closed on Monday.

General reviews of Clark's often hint "they aren't what they used to be." Despite the passing of Mr. Clark and his wife's moving on some years ago, they still have very good barbecue here. The original location was a rustic old shack with old area photos and cowboy/agricultural gear, and it was a wonderful place to hang out and enjoy a meal. A 2016 fire destroyed all that, but in the summer of 2017, they reopened a block south of the original location, salvaging some of the bricks from the first building and doing what they can to restore the old atmosphere with photos of old Tioga and Gene Autry. If there's no time to dine in, they offer takeout.

You really do want the barbecue here -- sandwiches and plates, both -- but they've got salads, steaks, pork chops, chicken fried steak, catfish, and shrimp. For barbecue, keep your eye on the ham and the pork loin, both of which go unheralded, but of course, they have ribs, brisket, turkey, and sausage. Calf fries are also available, both as an appetizer and as an entree: Look it up if you don''t know what it is. The use of sauce in Texas barbecue can cause fights and wars, and most of their stuff doesn't need it. However, they warm and serve their sauce in old Grolsch fliptop bottles, and the warm sauce alone is worth putting it on SOMETHING, even if it's bread (and the stuff is terrific on a cold day). Sides include fried corn on the cob, potato salad, cole slaw, fries, fried okra, beans, zucchini, black-eyed peas, or collard greens. They've got a good selection of soft drinks, including RC Cola (but no Moon Pies to go with it). If anything, save room for dessert. The apple pie is good. The bread pudding is terrific. However, you'll short yourself if you don't get a slice of the chocolate meringue or coconut cream pie. Be prepared to protect your dessert on its drive home, as these things are tall and hard to wrap up, but they ARE worth it (See the gallery for the coconut cream pie.).

Diners may not be interested in a related waymark, but waymarkers might be.
