The Artillery fortification Hanicka consists of six forts - one blockhouse of entry, three infantry forts, one artillery fort and one fort for an artillery turret.

The plan of upper floor of the entrance blockhouse R-H-S 79a

The building of Military Museum covers almost the whole entrance blockhouse R-H-S 79 now. Entrance object R-H-S 79a (code name "U silnice") was not a combat object, but its task was to supply ammunition and all necessary material to the artillery fortress Hanicka. Therefore, the designers placed the object in a hidden area where it could not be seen from the enemy territory. The bunker was concreted in the highest degree of resistance (ceiling and threatened walls were 350 cm thick, other walls 150 cm thick) from 25 April to 4 May 1938 using 4,300 cubic meters of concrete. The crew consisted of 17 men. The entrance to the terminal for two trucks had to be dammed by three closures. The first consisted of a massive steel bar door, followed by lowering armoured door weighing 21 tons. The last closure was another, this time sliding, armoured door weighing 8 tons. Both doors were gas-tight with transient pressurized space placed between them. In case of failure of one of the closures the entrance gallery could be protected by the fire of a light machine gun. A smaller side entrance was designed for the crew. The space in front of the object and the access road were protected by the fire of light and heavy machine gun from shooting rooms. Two cupolas for observation and light machine gun Model 26 (right was fitted on 15 June 1938, left on 27 June 1938) and two ventilation cupolas for thé ventilation of underground were placed in the ceiling of the object. This bunker contains the only one existing ventilation cupola of a large type. In the upper floor of the bunker there was also a commander room; the lower floor comprised ventilation, quarters, room for radio, toilet, machine-gun ammunition storage and food storage. The bunker was connected to the underground with a staircase and two freight elevators with a capacity of 2 500 kg (depth 18 m).
