This is a substantial abstract sculpture whose title is unknown. The Pyramid shaped stone & glass artwork is displayed in a small sculpture garden, located alongside the Tamiami Trail, Sarasota.

The sculpture garden is located at the corner of Dr Martin Luther King Jr. Way, and the Tamiami Trail, Sarasota.
This is a very heavy mixed stone sculpture, standing over 10 feet tall. The base is a rough hewn block of granite, & mounted on that is a triangular & pointed, shaped block of white marble. The marble has an elongated opening at the front, that closes down to a three inch hole right through the marble, probably to let light shine through. The hole is partially covered by a lump of red glass. There are fragments of glass evident on the sculpture, so the glass may have covered the entire front of the hole at one time.
The sculpture is illuminated at night.
There is no plaque evident, or Information board. The garden is unfenced alongside a public footpath, & parking is free.
The abstract Sculptures in the small park, probably belonging to, or are the works from students of the Ringling College of Art, which is next to, & also behind the sculpture garden.
A few of the sculptures have plaques giving their names & artist, but most of the artworks are without plaques, & in need of some TLC.
