The wooden church, the two-tier structure of hand-hewn and adzed oak logs, in the Byzantine Gothic style was built at Velka Kopana (Velyka Kopanya) in Transcarpathian Ruthenia in 1669.

The church has been moved from Velka Kopan (visit link) to a small village Dobrikov in Czechoslovakia (now Czech Republic).
It was moved by train on the initiative of politician Václav Klofác and re-built at Dobríkov in 1931.
