Das zweigeschossige Fachwerkhaus mit dem Glocken- und Uhrtürmchen wurde 1846 als Rathaus errichtet. Als solches wurde es nie genutzt, sondern diente von 1860 - 1964 als Schulhaus. Die Schule bestand aus der Lehrerwohnung im Erdgeschoß und dem Klassenzimmer im ersten Stock.
1985/89 erfolgte eine grundlegende Renovierung des Hauses durch den Heimatverein Treisberg, es dient nun als Vereinshaus des Heimatvereins. Die Alte Schule Treisberg steht unter Denkmalschutz.
The two-storey timber-framed building with the bell and clock tower was built in 1846 as a town hall. As such, it was never used, but served from 1860 - 1964 as a schoolhouse. The school consisted of the teacher's apartment on the ground floor and a classroom on the first floor.
1985/89 there was a fundamental renovation of the house by the Heimatverein Treisberg, it now serves as the clubhouse of the Heimatverein. The Old School Treisberg is a listed building.
