The light house was built in 1913 and is on a headland between the towns of Llanca and El Port de la Selva.
The road Cala Medussa leads to the light house where there is a car There is also a well maintained coastal foot path between the two towns.
A sign on the side of the light house gives details of the light house including its height of 22 meters.
