Long-standing popular candy shop in downtown Batavia. The store was established in 1932 by Joseph Boyd Oliver. Over the years he modified his house to look like a Swiss-stle chalet, ostensibly to capitalize on the famous Swiss chocolate confectioneries so popular at the time.
Over the years Oliver's has produced all sorts of tasty treats, with sponge toffee, fudge and truffles being house specialties. They also carry other products such as Jelly Belly. There is an in-house ice cream bar and soda fountain as well.
