If you ever doubted that horses are herd animals, the closeness of these two horses conforms that statement.

This lovely sculpture captures the closeness of these two horses and also notes the great invention of the horse collar. Until the invention of the horse collar, horses were almost too expensive for the work they could return. The horse collar allowed humans to 'capture' horsepower without harming the horse, thus making the horse the backbone of agriculture, trade, transportation and war.
