"In the east wall of the chancel is 'The Risen Christ' 1989 - Standing figure of Christ in a mandorla, at the centre of a five-light window, surrounded by symbols in roundels.

artist: John Petts

The window displaced glass of 1856 by Charles Gibbs, described by Richard Haslam as 'bright and mainly decorative.'

In the East wall of the South aisle is 'The Adoration of the Virgin and Child by the Magi'

Three-light window. Seated figure of the Virgin and Child with a landscape in the distance, the three Magi with gifts and a another standing figure with a lantern at either side. Angels above and a standing figure of the Christ-child in a mandorla at the apex of the central light. Annunciation scene below between figures of angels holding censers.

In the South wall of the South aisle 'Scenes from the Birth of Christ'

Two-light window with four scenes. As well as Mary and Joseph with the new-born Christ, angels proclaiming the birth to the shepherds and adoration of the shepherds, there is also a scene of Mary and Joseph being shown into the stable by a boy. The symbol of Luke is shown above, the only gospel writer to include these details of the birth of Christ.

About 1889

The window is similar to the work of Burlison & Grylls.

Dedication: 'To the Glory of God and in loving memory of John Kirk of Brecon, born Christmas Day 1818, died 18th October 1888."
