This penny smasher is located in the entrance are to Feldberg tower. It smashes 5 Euro Cent coins, and costs an additional Euro.
The smashed coins have a slightly abstract picture of the tower and the inscription: "Das Höchste im Schwarzwald / Feldberg 1493 m" (the highest in the Black Forest). Well, there is some artistic license in this statement: It is the Feldberg Tower, and Feldberg is the highest mountain in the Black Forest, that is true. But the tower is located on a secondary peak, called Seebuck on 1448 meters. To reach the real Feldberg peak on 1493 meters, you have to hike another 1.5 kilometers to the northwest.
