The plaque is protected to a degree from the salty air by a hard plastic sleeve. It warns us all of the dangers of too much sun & is worded:
In loving memory Karen Howell-Ravese 13/9/66 - 20/7/98 (Melanoma Cancer). At this beach she loved best we've placed a chair for you to rest. "Protect your skin from the sun's harmful rays. Enjoy the fun and cherish your days".
