A post office was opened in Concho on April 20, 1915. The town was named for Indian agent, Charles E. Shell. "Concho" is the Spanish name for "shell".
This is a small, pre-fab building with no town name or zip code label. It is located at 200 S. Black Kettle Blvd., just south of the Cheyenne & Arapaho Tribal headquarters. Its hours of operation are:
