This phone box is on the north east side of The Green outside Wanstead tube station.

The box is in fair condition with the paintwork being a bit dull. The glazing si complete apart from one of the roof pieces, that contains the wording "Telephone", that is missing. The box is clean inside.

The box is Grade II listed with the entry at the English Heritage website telling us:

K6 Telephone Kiosk, outside Wanstead LT Station, Wanstead. Type K6. Designed 1935 by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott. Made by various contractors. Cast iron. Square kiosk with domed roof. Unperforated crowns to top panels and margin glazing to windows and door.
