From the parking area at Todd Lake, off Cascade Lakes Highway west of Bend, travel generally NE on FR370 for about 3.5 miles. Turn left on FR380 and continue generally NW for about 0.7 miles and the corner on the left.
Type of survey mark: 2-1/2" brass cap on a steel pipe in a mound of stones; rising 7"
What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The corner is uphill about 680' S of the road. Aside from pieces of broken wood lath, there is a LAND SURVEY MONUMENT sign mounted on a bent-to-the-ground U-post which bears W, 3' distant. Found BO (= bearing object) chiseled in a boulder which bears S, 85' distant.
What property is this mark defining?:
Deschutes National Forest; survey history is found in Deschutes County Surveyors Office, Oregon Corner Restoration Record No. 1430.
