Located along Hwy 66, aka Dead Indian Memorial Road, is a large parking area known as 'Pederson Snowpark'. This pullout is very popular with horseback riders who access the Pacific Crest National Trail during the summer months. During the winter months this parking area is popular with snowmobilers and cross country skiers who also access the National Trail for winter recreation.
This particular trail section heads north towards Hwy 140 12 miles from here or south to Hyatt Lake, 19 miles from here. There is a camp shelter a few miles north of this trailhead.
