Sir Lancelot Spratt lays a foundation stone at the hospital, but then leans on it, pushing it over and injuring his back. He is treated by pretty physiotherapist, Iris Merchant. Some time later Sir Lancelot takes to sleep walking and playing the piano in the night. Dr Simon Sparrow is called in to diagnose Sir Lancelot’s problem and diagnoses love. Sir Lancelot has fallen for Iris.
Iris rebuffs Sir Lancelot’s advances. Sir Lancelot hires a private detective to follow her, but he falls ill on the job and Sir Lancelot has to do the detective work himself. Mayhem ensues, and Iris takes to Major Tommy FFrench a patient. Sir Lancelot eventually recovers himself.
