No portal da Rota da Bairrada ( visit link) pode-se ler: "Inaugurado em 27 de Setembro de 1910, por ocasião do 1º centenário da Batalha do Buçaco, que sintetiza a valentia e a acção heróica do exército anglo-luso durante o período da Guerra Peninsular. Ampliado e remodelado em 1962, dispõe de valiosas colecções de armas, uniformes e equipamentos utilizados na Batalha, de que se destaca uma peça de artilharia com a respectiva guarnição.
O Museu Militar do Buçaco, criado e inaugurado em 1910 quando do lº Centenário do acontecimento com a presença do Rei D. Manuel II, mostra nas suas salas o rico legado da época, nomeadamente peças militares do principio do Séc XIX, figuras uniformizadas, guiões e medalhas, material e equipamento diversos, uniformes, gravuras, uma peça de campanha de 9 libras que tomou parte na batalha e respectiva guarnição, evocações miniaturizadas e uma completa maquete mostrando as posições das forças em combate.
""Buçaco Military Museum was officially opened on 27th September 1910 during the commemoration of the first century of the Buçaco Battle and describes the bravery and the heroic deeds of the Anglo-Portuguese army during the Peninsular War. It was extended and reorganized in 1962 and assembles valuable collections of weapons, uniforms and equipment used in the Battle, with a fine artillery piece with respective garrison as an item of particular note.
The Buçaco Military Museum, created and opened in 1910, at the time of the 1º centenary of the event, in the presence of King D. Manuel II, shows the legacy of the era in its rooms, namely military pieces from the 19th century, uniformed figures, banners and medals, materials and equipment, uniforms, engravings, a 9 pound piece and respective garrison that was used in the battle, miniature depictions and a complete detailed scale model that shows the positions of the armies in combat."
