Whitegates Park is a good sized neighbourhood greenspace in the Westwood area of Winnipeg. There is an ageing children's playground at the east end of the park.

There are four entrances to the park, all from back lanes. The listed coordinates are for the entrance at the northeast corner of the park. Other entrances are at the northwest and southwest corners, and midway along the north side. According to signs posted at the northwest entrance, golfing is prohibited and the park is open from 7:00am to 11:00pm. A newer looking sign at the north central entrance states that park hours are 7:00am to 10:00pm.
