This circa 1898 brick school house was designed by noted school architect William B. Ittner. This building represents one of his early designs which was contrary to the prevalent designs for the day. Jackson school was in Ittner's H design schools. By using the H design he was able to have more exterior wall surface for windows allowing more light and air circulation in the school. This school has been recently closed.
