This National Park Service survey marker is located on the concrete pad around a manhole cover. The marker has no name on it so the title is based on its location near the Yosemite Lodge Alder building.

To reach the marker, take the hiking leading south-east across the parking lot from the bike rental booth. The marker will be about 360' (110 m) down the trail near a manhole cover that is on the paved trail.
