St. Oliver Plunkett was established in 1994 as part of the diocese's reorganization and revitalization project. It was formed by the merger of Ss. Mary and Ann in Marianna and St. Michael the Archangel in Fredericktown. Both churches remain open and continue to serve the new parish.
