Der Brunnen wurde 2009 errichtet. Er soll an die Weinpatenschaft zwischen Bad Bergzabern und Amberg erinnern. Die Patenschaft besteht seit 1934.
Der Brunnen ist wie eine Kugel geformt. Er ist aus Bronze gefertigt. An zwei Stellen läuft aus einem weiblichen Mund Wasser über nackte feiernde Frauen.
Für die konservative Stadt Bad Bergzabern ist dieser Brunnen sehr außergewöhnlich.
