"A South City neighborhood association, bounded by Gravois, S Jefferson and Cherokee Streets. The neighborhood covers over 100 city blocks and consists of over 1,200 residents. We have a very diverse population consisting of Hispanic, African-American, Caucasian, Vietnamese and other ethnic groups. The association was started in the year 2005. Presently our board consists of the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, two Members at Large and the following Committees: Beautification, Block Link, Community Garden, Dog Park, Facilities, Finance/Fundraising, Membership, Publicity, Quality of Life and Safety and Youth Outreach. Mission Statement

"The Mission of Benton Park West Neighborhood Association is to "Enhance and strengthen the neighborhood and its residents by promoting beautification, commerce, communication, diversity, and safety.
