This small civil aviation airport is on Airport Road, which runs east off Highway 93, about a half mile northeast of St Ignatius.

St Ignatius Airport (FAA identifier 52S) is at 25 miles on the Missoula VOR/DME (112.80 MHZ) 343 degree radial and 18.9 miles at 26 Degrees from the KONNA NDB (521 khz) at Missoula. 100LL fuel is available, as are tiedowns and minor Airframe and Powerplant service. The airport opened in August of 1950 and is home to 12 aircraft, 3 of which are ultralights. It is owned and operated by the City of St. Ignatius.

The single runway (8 - 26) is asphalt and 2610 x 60 feet. There are low intensity edge lights, with a total of 2370 feet lighted. There is also a small pilots' lounge with landline communications for taxis, hotels, etc.
