The Premier Diner, just off the highway, has sort of a movie theme in its decor, and serves a good breakfast with a lot to choose from.

In Commack, just off I-495, is the Premier Diner.
The diner is along Commack Road, south of the municipality of Commack and just north of the Long Island Expressway. It is a standalone building by a hotel. The building is decorated in an art-deco steel design, with large windows and glass-lined columns. Inside, the restaurant continues its stainless steel design. In the entranceway, there is an additional design that, I believe, involves the faces of the family who run the diner. The inside is roomy - we had no trouble getting a seat on a weekend morning.
The selections are long. I ordered french toast made with Challah bread and liked it very much. Others were pleased with their orders as well. The menus are posted on their web site. The service was pleasant and speedy.
