The major battle of the Austro-Prussian war - Battle of Königgrätz (visit link) - was preceded by several other military clashes and minor skirmishes and battles. These skirmishes had their own victims and these victims have own a monuments.

The monuments outside the central battlefield (i.e. those that are not here (visit link) have their own number series.

This is the memorial of the victims of The Battle of Skalitz [CZ: Ceská Skalice] (visit link) . It was a minor engagement in the Königgratz/Sadowa campaign of the Austro-Prussian War in Bohemia on June 28, 1866.

Jednoduchý litinový kríž poblíž bývalé usedlosti Dubno.

Asi 3 km na východ Ceské Skalice se v roce 1866 nacházel panský dvur Dubno, ve stredoveku manské sídlo s tvrzí, který vlastnil majitel náchodského velkostatku a zámku Vilém princ ze Schaumburg-Lippe.

Dále na východ, na táhlém návrší, stál panský ovcín, kde 28. cervna 1866 zaujalo své postaveni pruské delostrelectvo pálící na jízdní brigádu generálmajora Schindlockera (kyrysnický pluk c. 9 a 11, hulánský pluk c. 4, 4-liberní jízdní baterie c. 6/VI), chránící levé krídlo rakouského
VIII. armádního sboru arcivévody Leopolda nedaleko obce Zlíc u Ceské Skalice.
