Zanesville's Weasel Boy Brewing Company began brewing in July of 2007. Proprietors and brewers Jay and Lori Wince have put together a wonderful mix of craft beers, yummy pizza, live entertainment and local art. They keep about ten brews on tap year round and another half dozen that are rotated seasonally. If you are visiting for the first time they offer "beer flights", a small sampling of several of the brews they currently have on tap. The beers run the gamut from very light White Weasel Wheat Ale to the dark Brown Stoat Stout. My favorite is the mid range Plaid Ferret Scottish Ale.
Some of their most popular seasonals include the Anastasia Russian Imperial Stout (Bronze medal winner, Great American Beer Festival, 2010), Snow Ermine Holiday Ale and Weasel Paw PawPaw Pale Ale.
If you are hungry they have pizza and salads made with locally sourced ingredients. And for dessert try a Stoat Float, a float made with locally churned Tom's Ice Cream and Brown Stoat Stout!
They also utilize the pub as an art gallery, changing local artists several times a year. They have live music on weekends and occasionally during the week.
