Frenke is the name of a river system in the canton Basel-Landschaft with three parts.

Vordere (Lower) Frenke has its origin near Langenbruck on aheight of 820 meters above sea level. The river has a length of 16.6 km and crosses the municipalities of Langenbruck, Waldenburg, Oberdorf, Niederdorf, Hölstein and Bubendorf.

Hintere (Upper) Frenke has its source near Wasserfallen on the area of Mümliswil, Solothurn at a height of 930 meters and flows through Reigoldswil, Ziefen and Bubendorf. Hintere Frenke has a lenght of 12.6 km.

After the confluence point, the river is called Frenke, without a distinguishing adjective. The last part of the river has a length of 2.7 km, then it joins Ergolz near the canton capital Liestal.

The confluence point is located in the agricultural area north of Bubendorf. There is a hiking and biking path to Liestal that crosses Hintere Frenke just a few steps from the confluence. The coordinates were taken on that bridge.
