This memorial is in the St. Joe Cemetery, behind the Elementary School and near the American Legion post in St. Joe. There is a lovely walkway and training track nearby.

It is engraved on 3 sides; two sides contain the names of the men who served in the Civil War and the 3rd contains the dedication inscription.

The front of the monument has a "G.A.R. Star" on it, along with the words "One Flag, One Country".

It is topped with a statue of a Union Soldier.
