54,925 Case DC-3 tractors were built from their introduction in 1939 until their discontinuation in 1953. They were available with a choice of either a Case 4.3L 4-cyl gasoline engine or a Case 4.8L 4-cyl propane engine. The 37 HP engine was coupled to a four speed transmission with three working and one road gear. Available drawbar pull is 4,128 lbs, this from a 5,300 lb. tractor.

This tractor has what amounts to a homemade three point hitch mounted on the rear, using the tractor's hydraulics.
The Case Corporation was founded by Jerome Increase Case in 1847. Case started out by selling threshing machines. Case began manufacturing steam engines in 1869 and introduced its first steam traction engine in 1878. The company was quite successful with its steam tractor operations.
