The Spadena House is fancifully designed, Storybook architecture house. The house was named after the first residents of the house. In the 1960s the second family in residence renovated the interior. In 1997, real estate agent, Michael Libow, purchased the house and began a gradual renovation.

Other names the house has been known as are the “hobbit house” and the Hansel-and-Gretel home.
