SAD UPDATE: On March 25, 2015, severe weather again struck Moore, OK with high winds and several small tornadoes. Two of the KOKC towers were leveled, and the top portion of the remaining tower was broken off and hangs precariously against the remaining portion of the tower.

KOKC, owned by Tyler Media, transmits from the former transmitting station of KOMA in Moore, and has their studios in northeast Oklahoma City. This transmitting station is on the south side of SW 4th Street, West of Telephone Road.

KOKC is a talk radio station, with well-known hosts broadcasting on weekdays:
Scott Mitchell - 6a-9a
Laura Ingraham - 9x-noon
Dave Ramsey - 1p-4p
Michael Savage - 4p-7p
Jerry Doyle - 7p-9p
Herman Cain 9p-midnight

They transmit with 50,000 watts from a single tower with a non-directional pattern during the daytime and transmit from all three towers directionally at night. The station can be heard in Texas, California and numerous other states at night.

The transmitting station and towers were spared during the May 20, 2013 tornado which ripped through Moore, and came within 3/10 mile of the station.
