The Arts Building is a large, three-storey, classically inspired masonry structure located on College Hill, at the centre of the picturesque, hillside, campus of the University of New Brunswick. Noted as the oldest university building in Canada still in continuous use, the Arts Building overlooks the city of Fredericton and the Saint John River. The formal recognition refers to the building on its footprint.

Le Pavillon-des-Arts, grand édifice de trois étages en maçonnerie d’inspiration classique, est situé à flanc de coteau sur la College Hill, au centre du pittoresque campus de l’Université du Nouveau-Brunswick. Il s’agit du plus vieil édifice universitaire toujours en fonction au Canada. Il surplombe la ville de Fredericton et la rivière Saint John. La reconnaissance officielle concerne l’édifice sur son tracé.
