Location: Entrance Park is located at 2 Eaton Street, Ottawa, Ontario. It fronts onto the south side of that one-block street, located in the north-east portion of the Bells Corners neighbourhood of Ottawa, Ontario. The park sits across from a seniors' residence that is the only other address on Eaton Street. Bells Corners is a small community, formerly part of the City of Nepean before it was annexed by the City of Ottawa, that is entirely surrounded by the City of Ottawa's Greenbelt.

Description: Entrance Park is notable primarily for being the only public swimming facility in the area. Its paid-admission, lifeguard-serviced, outdoor pool facilities are open only seasonally during the relatively short Canadian summer. The brief season, shorter than the summer school vacations, seems designed to ensure that the lifeguards can be treated as casual labour, rather than employees with benefit entitlements. During the rest of the year, the park goes largely unused.

The park's swimming facilities include a main swimming pool, a smaller diving pool, and a small kiddie pool. Fencing around these pools ensures that they do not become dangerous "attractive nuisances" when the facility is not open. The park's only building provides changing rooms for users of the facilities. There are no food services available. There is a limited amount of parking available, but most of the park's users are easily within walking distance of the park. There is limited seating around the pool area in the form of lawn chairs and a picnic table, but usually people, parents and those taking a break from swimming, lie on towels on the lawn or on the paved surfaces around the pool area.

Entrance Park also contains one outdoor volleyball court, but it seems ill-maintained, and is little used. There are no other recreational facilities in the park. Entrance Park is surrounded on the sides and back by a small fringe of urban forest that provides some noise reduction for the park's neighbours.

Entrance Park appears in the City of Ottawa's database of municipal parks, and is searchable on Google Earth, Google Maps, with images of the park available on its associated Street View feature.
