Data obtained from the OS website...

Square: TQ
Easting: 3951
Northing: 8067
Mark Type: Rivet
Description: RIVET BOLLARD W SIDE BOW CREEK 3.0M W RIVER WALL
Height: 5.5717m

The description at the OS website is a bit misleading as it refers to "Bow Creek" and not the River Lea. Bow Creek is about six kilometres to the east of this location. As the eastings and northings agree with the "found" position of the rivet the surveyor must have made a mistake.

The bollard is still in use so it comes as no surprise that the cut mark is worn but the rivet is in good condition.

Visit Instructions:
1. A closeup photo of the waymark with your GPS, or (a part of) you in it, is required.
2. An area photo including the waymark in the view is highly appreciated.
