Hradec Králové is the first town to boast its own Bike Tower - a covered self-service parking area for bicycles and gear at a token price.
The Bike Tower just finished its first year of operation and holds space for up to 116 bicycles in Riegrovo nám stí in Hradec Králové. This fully automated covered parking facility registered more than 11,500 bicycles parked here during its first year. The
automatic bike parking system is very simple to use. When you arrive, simply place the front and rear wheels into the grooves in the parking unit, then press the green button on the payment terminal, and the stacker mechanism automatically takes your bike behind the doors of the parking facility. Take the chip that holds the information on where and when your bike is stored, then when you return, insert the chip into the reader and pay the parking fee - CZK 5 per day.
