This wonderful memorial is dedicated to Royal Military College's fallen heroes. The cornerstone was laid on June 25, 1923 by Canada's Governor General and it was completed in 1924.

Memorial Arch was originally dedicated to Royal Military College cadets who lost their lives in wars of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The names begin with No. 52 Captain WG Stairs who died during the Emir Pasha Relief Expedition 1887 – 1890; followed by No. 62 Captain WH Robinson who died in West Africa 1892. There are then 5 names of Ex Cadets who were killed during the Boer War 1899 – 1901, followed by those from 1914 - 1918 (World War I).
Over the years, the arch has been modified (through additional engravings and additions to the base) to honour those who died during conflict in India (1926), World War II (1939-1945), Korea (1950s) and other war zones.
