This mark is cut into a milestone on the south side of Sevenoaks Road to the west of Pratt's Bottom.

The mark is on the front face of the milestone beneath the distances and just above ground level. It is in good condition and easy to locate.  It is interesting to note that the milestone quotes Sevenoaks bing at 9 miles whilst the OS description for this mark gives Sevenoaks as bing 8 miles. Perhaps, at the time of the survey, the distance was cut into the stone and had faded so appeared to be an eight.
