The Manteca Water Slides were pretty much the only thing Manteca ever was famous for. With growing urban sprawl and skyrocketing real estate prices, the owners found more profitable ways and in 2004, the slides were closed.

Wikipedia mentions that "...As of February 2006, no trace remains of the waterpark..."
Well, we found some remains rotting along hwy 120. The Wikipedia article is pretty much the only thing commemorating this once great park and we hope this waymark can create a little memorial for one of the many things we have lost in an all too fast changing world.
